STARTING NOW
Combining best in class security practices, environmental design modifications and state-of-the-art security technology across all 38 MetroLink stations, this end-to-end solution will “roll out” one multi-station group at a time, with seven multi-station “packages” total. In fact, work is already underway on the plan’s first package, located in St. Clair County, IL.

MOVING FORWARD
From Richmond Heights to Fairview Heights, the strengthened partnership between our Metro Transit security teams and community law enforcement personnel will serve as the bedrock of this $52-million multi-faceted safety initiative – augmented even more by some of the latest advances in transit security technology.

Over 1,800 cameras linked to our continuously staffed Real Time Camera Center, for improved detection and response capabilities.
RAPIDLY DEPLOYABLE
TASK FORCE
Multi-community law enforcement task force with expanded access to local, state and regional agencies to support emergency preparedness initatives, safety and security.
END-TO-END CONNECTIVITY
Seamless connectivity between closed circuit surveillance technology throughout the system, shared across multiple law enforcement agencies on both sides of the river.
FULL-HEIGHT ADA ACCESSIBLE GATING
ADA accessible full-height secure gating integrated with both electronic and paper ticket customer boarding options. Sight-optimized precision-welded fencing. Updated, streamlined lighting, signage and wayfinding.
